The CORE CG1 freestyle scooter is built for riders who no longer want a completely basic scooter and are looking for a higher-quality complete for further progression. It is especially suitable for park riding, where you will appreciate its compact dimensions, fast wheels, and well-controllable geometry.
The total height of the scooter is 81 cm and its weight is 3.6 kg. CORE has thus created a complete setup that offers solid strength while remaining sufficiently easy to control during whips, barspins, and other tricks.
The basis of the scooter is a one-piece aluminum deck approximately 480 mm long. The deck has a 3° concave, which helps keep your feet in the right place, and a 83° headtube angle. Thanks to this geometry, the CG1 feels pleasantly lively during park riding and responds well to the rider's movements.
A big plus is the front part of the scooter. The CORE CG1 uses an integrated 1 1/8" headset in combination with an IHC compression system and a one-piece fork. The result is a cleaner construction, pleasantly smooth handlebar turning, and easier servicing.
The handlebars are made of durable 4130 CrMo steel and have a classic Y shape. Their height is 575 mm and width 550 mm. The steel construction adds durability to the scooter and is suitable for riders who are starting to put more stress on the scooter during tricks.
Speed is ensured by 110 mm wheels with a 24 mm hub width, 88A hardness, and high-quality ABEC-9 bearings.
Compared to the basic 100 mm wheels, they offer better speed and a smoother ride through the skatepark. On the rear wheel, you will find a flex fender brake. The complete setup is aimed at riders who want a versatile, high-quality scooter primarily for the skatepark and who want to gradually progress from basic tricks to more demanding combinations.
CORE CG1 therefore makes the most sense mainly as a step between basic beginner scooters and significantly more expensive professional complete scooters. You get a quality IHC system, integrated headset, 110 mm wheels, ABEC-9 bearings, and sturdy CrMo handlebars in one complete setup.
If you already have your first tricks behind you or are looking for a higher-quality scooter that you can continue learning and improving on, the CORE CG1 is a very interesting choice.
